Overview
QOSYU is a technology and research project I founded in 2026, focused on making recyclable waste collection more efficient for small and medium-sized businesses through logistics optimization.
Problem
Individually, small businesses often generate relatively modest amounts of recyclable material. When each pickup request is handled separately, it tends to produce inefficient transportation, low vehicle utilization and unnecessary logistics costs.
Research question
Can nearby recyclable-material pickup requests be aggregated into more efficient collection routes, and how much does that improve transport efficiency compared to handling each request independently?
Approach
QOSYU aggregates nearby pickup requests and builds more efficient collection routes around them, drawing on ideas from the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem, clustering and route optimization to combine many smaller requests into fewer, better-utilized trips.
Product
The project currently includes a web interface, a map-based experience for planning and visualizing routes, and an early Telegram bot concept for requesting pickups.

Validation
Early validation work includes around 20 interviews with businesses, about 85% of whom indicated they would be willing to use a regular pickup service. I've also been in contact with several recycling organizations, including WEST DALA, EcoDamu and IP «Makulatura», and collected around five letters of support from potential stakeholders.
These conversations reflect early-stage project validation, not commercial contracts or confirmed partnerships.
Current stage
QOSYU is still in an early, pre-launch research and development stage. The web experience and route-planning tools are being built and tested, and the project's public website is being prepared.
What I'm exploring next
I'm working on comparing route efficiency using measurable metrics such as distance, vehicle utilization, number of requests served and estimated transport efficiency, including CO₂-related transportation metrics, as the research methodology matures.
